Board size: what really changes
With a 42 cm width a shirt opens out fully and a pair of trousers is ironed in one pass; with 125 cm of length sheets and tablecloths slide along without falling on the floor. On 74×30 cm you work in two passes: perfect for T-shirts, napkins and touch-ups, with the narrow tip for sleeves and collars.
The right height
Standing, with your arms hanging by your sides, the board should come up to your wrists: that way you iron with relaxed shoulders. MONDO's adjustment from 69 to 98 cm covers heights from 1.55 to 1.90 m and also lets you iron sitting down. With a tabletop board the table decides the height: choose the kitchen worktop, usually higher than a dining table.
Steam generator iron: what the board must have
A steam generator weighs 3–5 kg and gets hot: it needs a sturdy, heat-resistant iron rest. MONDO has a special iron rest with flame-retardant silicone, the power socket built into the underside of the board (a single cable to the wall) and a steel bar that holds the steam hose, so the hose does not pull on the iron while you work. TABLE TOP has a silicone iron rest for a traditional iron.
Cover, board and stability

Frequently asked questions
How much space does it need when folded?
MONDO folds flat and fits in a wardrobe or behind a door; TABLE TOP hangs from its hook in a storage cupboard or behind the laundry room door.
Can the cover be replaced?
Yes: it is a standard replacement for the board size. Change it when it is scorched or when the foam has flattened and the iron no longer glides.
Do I need a socket nearby?
With MONDO a wall socket is enough: the iron plugs into the socket built into the board and the cable does not cross the room.
Can I use a steam generator iron on a tabletop board?
Better not: the steam generator is heavy, gets hot and has a hose that pulls. It needs a dedicated iron rest and a stable board at the right height, i.e. a full-size ironing board.
